Jnana Vikas Public School celebrated Independence Day with unprecedented patriotic fervour on Aug 15, 2019. The gamut of celebration activities held on the campus consisted of mass exercises, fancy dress, speech in three different languages, patriotic song, dance, and impressive parade. The entire school assembled at the ground. The dignitaries hoisted the Tricolor. The national anthem echoed in the entire campus.
After the flag hoisting there was House-wise march past. Students marched in contingents to the beat of drum while the dignitaries presided over it. After the march past, there was house wise exercises, patriotic song, fancy dress where kids were dressed as famous freedom fighters like Ghandhiji, Chacha Nehru, Obbavva, Kittur Rani Chennamma, Subash Chandra Bose, Soldiers and many more. Middle school dressed as cabinet ministers spoke about their roles and responsibilities in the cabinet. Students danced for a fusion of songs representing different states. Cultural programme was followed by speeches given by the Chief guests who spoke about the importance of independence day, principal Mrs. Deepa Raja also gave an inspirational speech followed by our Chairman Thimmiah Sir’s motivational speech. Finally the programme ended with National Anthem sung by each and everyone present in the ground. It was truly an wonderful day where smile was etched on everyone’s proud face.
